Just like to say that the Burns Night meal was fantastic with lots of praise for all courses.I must say I have been a Mason for nearly forty years and visited dozens of centres and your food is consistently one of the best.Sorry I mucked up with missing a vegetarian option. Again, too much on. I did apologise to Lorraine and the Brother for my faux pas.

I just wanted to drop a note of thanks to you, Lorraine and the team for the amazing service and food we had on Saturday.
It’s the first such event I’ve been to where things have gone so smoothly – at least from our side of things (I hope it wasn’t too stressful from your side!!) Everyone commented on the quality of the food, obviously no surprise to me, but our guests were very impressed. Lorraine, the waiting and the Bar staff were simple amazing – how you orchestrated the courses to be served in such a short time amazes me – as was perfectly cooked Halibut for that many covers – I struggle getting it right for 6 people, never mind 60.
Please pass on our thanks to all involved – I’ve sent a little something which should arrive on Friday!
Roll on 7th July, when it looks like we’ll have 90 dining!

Although some of us are regulars as visitors with other Lodges for some it was the first visit

Dear Peter & All,

Just a quick email as we had our meeting last night.

I personally and many of the members present last night cannot thank you enough for giving us fantastic evening.

Firstly, it’s lovely that Esme opens the bar area for us before the start of the meeting. She is excellent and a credit to you. I now drive from West Wales to each meeting after moving from Upminster, so I now know that I don’t have to wait until 1830-1700 for a drink, plus you must see the difference in the takings. Happy day’s all round.

Secondly, Lorraine and all the waitresses were and are brilliant as always. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They make the festive board absolutely perfect.

And lastly the food was also fantastic, great value, well cooked and delicious.
We don’t see the kitchen staff much, but they all play a huge part In making our evening memorable.

I am the secretary of my London Lodge, so I know all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes which is missed.
Thank you all, you, and your team have transformed Upminster into something special.

Hi Gary,

I just wanted to write and thank you for another incredible meal on Friday night. We had a White Table so it was lovely to be able share the dining experience at The Square with our friends and family. I was confident of a good meal, but was blown away by the standard and attention to detail… the focaccia bread and antipasti was amazing. I could’ve eaten that all night! The lamb was beautifully tender and the sides were lovely. My wife doesn’t like coffee, but was amazed at how light and subtle the tiramisu was. Everyone was so complimentary of the meal and the repeated feedback was, ‘I’d never normally eat those!’ roasted Zucchini, cocktail onions, cutting through the green veg.

Seriously, Gary. I’ve done a fair few banquets in my 23 years in masonry. I have never enjoyed a meal at a masonic event as much as that! Completely different experience! Please extend my thanks to all of your team.

Dear Gary,
I felt I absolutely must write to you about the meal we had yesterday evening. It was wonderful. Everyone there said it was the nicest and best meal they can ever recall having had at a masonic meeting. Thank you so much. I really appreciate what you did for us in sorting out a menu and then in its execution. I am very, very grateful.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful night of excellent food and music at the hall. Please pass on our gratitude to everyone at the hall.

Just a few lines of appreciation to your good-self and your staff on the absolutely fabulous meal the Old Esthameians enjoyed on Friday the 16th September, which all of the brethren enjoyed immensely. It was certainly a meal to remember.

The food and service were of the highest standard and the fact that you set the dining tables out for us in the adjacent temple made the complete festive board even more enjoyable and a special thank you for doing this, please also pass on our thanks to your staff.

 Looking forward to the Christmas meeting, thank you again and kind regards on behalf of the lodge members and guests. 

Peter, I attended the Grand Officers Mess last night and I thought the food was superb, especially the Antipasti. It was good enough to have been the main course.

I had not seen the exterior changes before and the pillars plus the perimeter lighting, made the centre look very imposing.

Hi Gary. May I, as secretary of the Lodge, on behalf of the members and guests who attended the function last night, say a very big thank you to all concerned.
The excellent meals and especially the service were second to none. Both Sue and Lorraine and their teams made a great night unforgettable.
I have received many appreciative comments form both members and guests.
Once again thank you to each and everyone.

I wanted to make a special effort to thank you & your colleagues for a most enjoyable Festive Board after the Old Libertian’s meeting last night, which was the first time I have had the pleasure of visiting the Square & I eagerly look forward to my next opportunity to attend.

The mixed grill was excellent.

Great food yesterday!

Since 2014 the Square has been improved beyond all recognition of it’s former existence.
The lodge rooms, bar and dining facilities are truly excellent and the envy of many centres throughout Essex.
…….. and it goes without saying, that the food is exceptional!

Attended the first Ladies Lunch on Sunday 5th March 2017. What fabulous food, fabulous service and an amazing bar.

My friends and I were at the Ladies Lunch on Sunday. All without exception were so impressed with the centre, the quality of food and last but not least the amount of Prossecco that could be consumed in such a short space of time….
