REBUILDING THE SQUARE

Rebuilding the Square has been completed after years of being a building project and we thank you for your patience. Many of you have seen the finished sections as the works progressed. We have now put together the following video presentation (with sound). Hopefully, this will provide a better understanding of exactly what has taken place. Bite-sized nuggets are also provided below the main video. Many thanks to everyone who assisted in the project to make the Square the jewel in the Province of Essex.

The improvements included the complete refurbishment of the two temples, a new bar area and kitchen. Circulation areas and the two ante rooms were also updated to high standards. The exterior of the building was given a complete facelift, making it totally unrecognisable from its former appearance! Car parking was reorganised and softened by the planting of Cordyline plants around the perimeter. The forbidding black fence and gates were removed and replaced by a low wall incorporating a planting bed.

Future works will include improvements to the kitchen area and possibly a first floor extension for dining and social functions.

The complete presentation above has been split into six individual nuggets. They can be accessed by clicking on the video links below.
