A successful and well-attended combined meeting of Royal Arch Chapters was held at the Upminster Masonic Centre under the banner of Stedfast Unity Chapter No. 9128 on the 30th June 2025. A total of 91 Companions were present, representing various Chapters that meet at Upminster.
The Chapter was particularly honoured by the presence of Excellent Companion Peter Hollingsworth, Deputy Grand Superintendent, who was accompanied by several members of the Provincial Executive.
Following the opening of the Chapter, the usual business was conducted in a dignified and efficient manner and the role of Upminster Chapters was confirmed.
An engaging and thoroughly well-received talk entitled: “Angels One Five – The Battle of Britain: The German Side of Events” was then delivered by W Bro Mark Smith, who captivated the assembled Companions with his knowledge, presentation style, and historical insight.
As part of the evening’s proceedings, a cheque in the sum of £1,000 was presented to the Deputy Grand Superintendent, in support of the Province’s charitable efforts. Following the meeting, this donation was further increased by an additional £250, demonstrating the generosity and spirit of the assembled Companions.
After the meeting was closed, the Companions retired to the bar for a convivial refreshment before assembling at the Festive Board. A sumptuous meal was enjoyed by all, with the evening marked by warm fraternal fellowship, lively conversation, and good-natured banter. The sense of unity and shared purpose among the Chapters was clearly evident throughout the evening.
The evening was a resounding success, strengthening the bonds between the Chapters of the Upminster centre and showcasing the richness of Royal Arch Masonry, both in ceremonial dignity and in fraternal joy. Special thanks are extended to all who contributed to the organisation and delivery of a most memorable occasion.
